la inspiración para marc jacobs ss15 tuvo una dosis militar. el diseñador mencionó que estuvo mirando las imagenes de grace slick, donde vestian uniformes para protestar contra la guerra de vietnam en los 60. modelos uniformadas con juegos de volúmenes, con pelucas y sin maquillaje eran una especie de ejército que proclamaban lo contrario: la individualidad.

the inspiration for marc Jacobs ss15 had a military dose. the designer was looking some images of grace slick, where they dressed in uniforms to protest the vietnam war in the 60´s. uniformed models with no makeup and wigs were a kind of army that proclaimed the opposite: individuality.

marc jacobs juega siempre con influencias opuestas, esta vez mezcló para su inspiración algo del plymouth rock del siglo diecisiete con un poco de street style del siglo veintiuno. estolas de lana, tops de brillos, mucho volumen, contrastes de colores y texturas y sobre todo sombreros oversize de piel fueron algunos de las bases de marc jacobs fw12. algunos los looks fueron inspirados por anna piaggi y lynn yaeger.

marc jacobs always plays with opposing influences, this time his inspiration mixed some from the plymouth rock's seventeenth century with a bit of twenty-first century's street style . wool stoles, sparkling tops, volume, contrasting colors and textures and especially fur oversize  hats were some of the bases of marc jacobs fw12. some looks were inspired by anna piaggi and lynn yaeger.

marc jacobs ss2012 cerró los desfiles de la temporada de nyc. mezcló influencias del pasado, presente y futuro. una colección rica en texturas y prendas con personalidad propia marcaron el camino de su inspiración. el desfile tuvo referencias teatrales en decoracion y actitudes inspiradas en bob fosse.

marc jacobs ss2012 closed nyc fashion week this season. mixed influences from the past, present and future. a rich collection of textures and clothing with own personality defined the way for his inspiration. the runway had theatrical references decoration and inspired by bob fosse attitudes.

marc by marc jacobs ss2011 nos trae optimismo y diversión. vestidos veraniegos, enterizos con una inspiración totalmente setentera, uso del color entero y las rayas de colores son claves super importantes en toda la colección. los zapatos me parecen geniales.

marc by marc jacobs ss2011 brings optimism and fun. summer dresses, jumpers with a totally seventies inspiration , use of one color and stripes of colors are super important keys in the whole collection. i find the shoes so cool.

marc jacobs spring summer 2011 es una de mis colecciones favoritas de la temporada. me encanta toda la onda setentas de los looks, inspirado en studio 54 y jodie foster en su rol en la pelicula taxi driver, la paleta de color, las diferentes texturas y materiales que ha manejado y por supuesto el maquillaje y peinado.

marc jacobs spring summer 2011 is one of my favorite collections of the season. love all the wave seventies of the looks, inspired in studio 54 and jodie foster in her role in the movie taxi driver, the color palette, the different textures and materials to be handled and of course the makeup and hair.

para mi estas ilustraciones marcaron el comienzo de esta nueva etapa. hace unos meses mi amigo y dupla antonio choy kay me preguntó si queria ilustrar las colecciones fall winter para su blog y me pareció interesante la idea sin saber lo mucho que me iba a gustar. ahora me parece un reto el escoger un look y llevarlo a la ilustración y me apasiona el poder hacerlo.

for me these illustrations marked the beginning of this new phase. a few months ago my friend and partner antonio  choy kay  asked if i wanted to illustrate the fall winter collections for his blog and i found interesting the idea without knowing how much i would like it. now i find it challenging to choose a look and take it to the picture and i love it.
