el tema que debí ilustrar para la edición número 14 del magazine de boca en boca fue la epoca de 1800. en el caso de las mujeres las prendas se hicieron mas ligeras y comenzo el reinado del corset, una una obsesión por marcar la cintura y obtener así una silueta perfecta. en el caso de los hombres predominaba el traje inglés.

cerrando the best of new york fashion week deje al último el look de carolina herrera ss2012, que justo coincide con la llegada de la disenadora a lima para la inauguración de su tienda. la colección me parecio super fresca, elegante y geométrica. tuvo amarillo, verde, prints (en especial el de la ilustración, que tiene como protagonista pequenos gorriones, cuando lo vi en el desfile sabia que lo queria ilustrar y fue definitivamente uno de mis favoritos). su inpiración fue el movimiento artístico alemán bauhaus, la fluidez y purezas de sus líneas.

finishing the best of new york fashion week i have the look from carolina herrera ss2012, which just coincides with the arrival of the designer to lima for the opening of her new store. the collection seemed to me super fresh, elegant and geometric. had yellow, green, prints (especially in this illustration, which features little sparrows, when i saw the fashion show i knew i wanted to illustrate this one and was definitely one of my favorites ). her inpiración was the german art movement bauhaus , the flow and purity of their lines.

kate y laura mulleavy presentaron para rodarte ss2012 una interesante y colorida colección inspirada en una mezcla entre las pinturas de vincent van gogh y el cuento de la bella durmiente. el punto de partida fueron los colores del clásico cuento animado de disney y los colores que van gogh utilizaba en sus pinturas. me encanto la colección.

kate and laura mulleavy from rodarte ss2012 show us an interesting and colorful collection inspired by a mix of paintings by vincent van gogh and the sleeping beauty tale. the starting point were the colors of the classic disney animated fairy and colors that van gogh used in his paintings. love the collection.

formas estructuradas y su estilo super definido y limpio es el que presentó rad by rad hourani ss2012. nos propone usar azul y aceros al tradicional negro, ya que su inspiración esta temporada viene del agua y el cielo, en general una sensación de relax. piezas unisex, una silueta alargada y layers encierran esta interesante propuesta.

rad by rad hourani ss2012 show us his structured shapes and super defined clean style. he proposes to use the blue and steel in addition to the traditional black, as his inspiration this season comes from the water and sky, a relax sensation. unisex pieces, an elongated shape and layers complete this interesting proposal.

file 049. the best of new york fashion week. prabal gurung ss2012

inspirado por una serie de imagenes de flores, del fotográfo nobuyoshi araki, prabal gurung ss2012 nos muestra una colección extremadamente rica en texturas (se pudo ver seda, cuero, lana, lentejuelas de goma, etc). los colores que utilizó fueron blancos, violetas y negros, recorriendo todos sus tonos y formas de combinación. pude acceder al backstage de este desfile y ver la colección fue una experiencia increíble, vestidos largos y cortos, sastres, una colección super completa y esteticamente muy bien lograda. definitivamente una de mis favoritas.

inspired by a serie of images of flowers, by the photographer nobuyoshi araki, prabal gurung ss2012 shows a collection extremely rich in textures (you could see silk, leather, wool,  rubber sequins, etc). the colors used were white, purple and black, covering all its shades and forms of combination. i could access the backstage of the fashion show and see the collection was an amazing experience, long and short dresses, suits, it was a super complete collection and aesthetically very well made. definitely one of my favorites.

olivier theyskens utilizó la gama de blancos, grises, azules y negros para theyskens' theory ss2012.  uso tweed, jeans, transparencias y muchos bolsillos. un look de chica del downtown de nyc fue su inspiración pero llevandola al lado mas casual y chic.

olivier theyskens used the range of white, gray, blue and black for theyskens' theory ss2012. he used tweed, denim, transparencies and many pockets. his inspiration was the look of a nyc downtown girl but it leads to more casual and chic side.
